No doubt, FoxConn, the makers of Apple’s iPhone and iPhone 3G, has to have their workers conduct occasional tests of the the equipment they make to ensure everything is on the up and up. But it looks like their friendly, cheery factory workers dont’ alwasy clean up the results of their tests, as one owner of what they thought was a shiny new iPhone has discovered:
Not sure if this is or is not the ‘norm’ but I just received my brand new iPhone here in the UK and once it had been activated on iTunes I found that the home screen (the screen you can personalise with a photo) already had a photo set against it! ! ! !
It would appear that someone on the production line was having a bit of fun – has anyone else found this ?
Well, at least she looks cheerful and happy to be there. I guess the stories of whip-cracking cheap labor in Chinese factories might be just a tad exaggerated. It would be hella bad PR for Apple if these pics showed horrid conditions.
