I guess a rape charge, a rap he might&#8217;ve actually beaten if he hadn&#8217;t tried to intimidate jurors, just wans&#8217;t enough.  So, Brian Nichols ups the ante and goes on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2005\/LAW\/03\/12\/atlanta.shooting\/index.html\">shooting rampage<\/a>.  He was found and surrendered peacefully this morning, in stark contrast to his getaway yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Why?  It&#8217;s just absolutely absurd. you can&#8217;t usually run from such a spectacle and stay hidden for long.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brian Nichols goes on a rampage and sparks a manhunt; was caught this morning.
