Finally, Cablevision has decided, and appears in full agreement this time, that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voom.com\">Voom is done for<\/a>.  Plans are to <a href=\"http:\/\/news.designtechnica.com\/article7068.html\">finally end the satellite HDTV service on April 30<\/a>, and unlike the last feigned shutdown, <a href=\"\/media\/voomcall.wav\">calls to their customer service number<\/a> (866-931-VOOM) do confirm that this time, it&#8217;s for real.<\/p>\n<p>I feel bad for the remaining customer service reps that are answering calls&#8230; they certainly don&#8217;t sound very chipper.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Voom has been on-aga and off-again regarding whether it will continue as a viable company.
