{"id":84,"date":"2004-08-10T11:11:16","date_gmt":"2004-08-10T15:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scaredpoet.com\/wordpress\/?p=84"},"modified":"2004-08-10T11:15:06","modified_gmt":"2004-08-10T15:15:06","slug":"old-story-but-hey-if-you-wanna-ban-satan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scaredpoet.com\/blog\/?p=84","title":{"rendered":"Old Story, but hey, if you wanna ban Satan&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sptimes.com\/News\/112901\/Citrus\/Mayor_banishes_Satan_.shtml\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sptimes.com\/News\/112901\/photos\/cit-repent.jpg\" alt=\"repent\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This story is way old, but it just caught my eye, and the amount of oddness to this story, and the total disbelief I have for some of the more nutty of the religious folks out there made me want to highlight it.<\/p>\n<p>It would appear that in Inglis, Florida, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sptimes.com\/News\/112901\/Citrus\/Mayor_banishes_Satan_.shtml\">Satan is officially a <em>persona non grata<\/em><\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Be it known from this day forward that Satan, ruler of darkness, giver of evil, destroyer of what is good and just, is not now, nor ever again will be, a part of this town of Inglis.
