Oh, one other thing that really chaps my hide over this whole economy/bailout malarky: companies who are using the recession and bailouts as a marketing tool.
Prime case: Domino’s Pizza and their “Big Taste Bailout:”
Oh really? So, someone who’s in horrible shape because of the economy, probably lost their job, maybe their home, is gonna have their problems solved with more pizza than they could possibly stomach in a year?
I guess the intent of this was to give people a fuzzy, feel-good kind of sensation when they think of Domino’s and bite into their soggy-crust, poor-quality cheap pizza. In my book though, capitalizing on other’s hard times is not engendering any goodwill here.
