Now that it’s sunk in…

Well, my fellow Americans (some more fellow than others), in the days since we’ve handed over a slim victory to our oh-so-beloved dicta-errr, President, the following events have occured:

1. Wisconsin is yet another state to pretty much abandon actual, sane science in its schools (so much for “No Child Left Behind”),

2. No aid is coming to hurricane victims in Florida (it’s been what now, two months since the last hurricane?)

3. Iraq is in panic mode.

4. At least one other person agrees with me that the U.S. population has gone stark raving mad. Only he’s no longer living because of it.

And it seems a lot of people who voted for Bush (at least the ones I’ve asked about and have heard opinions from) don’t really like him, but they were simply afraid to vote for anyone else because there’s a perception in the US that even if the commander-in-chief is bollocksing-up a war, you don’t switch leaders in the middle of it. Why?!
