Hewlett Packard has filed a patent application for a method where cameras can be instructued to exclude people or parts of a scene in a photo. An interesting concept, it’s a device which warns nearby digital cameras to automatically take a person wearing a signalling device out of the photo.
The patent application doesn’t say how this would be implemented, but perhaps support for the device might be installed in cell phone cameras in the future. Though the blank spaces caused by such devices in photographs would be quite eery.
