The VOOM! website says it all. VOOM! was a DBS satellite company, similar to DirecTV and DISH Network, that focused entirely on HDTV programming. Unfortunately, it was owned by Cablevision, and we all know how cable companies like to trash satellite tv with endless commercials and propaganda. So, the plug has been pulled, and subscribers now have useless equipment.
