As I was checking coverage on the Motient data network for a friend of mine (and simultaneously being in awe that the Motient data network, which runs on the DataTAC network that’s been aroud since 1987 and technically hasn’t changed one bit, is still operating), I came across a very odd street name on their coverage map tool:

“Evan You Never Call Us Down Here” road? Could there possibly be a street bearing this name?
Well, no. As it turns out, comparing the same coordinates on a GPS mapping tool yields a much more mundane (and personally verified as correct) street name. But I do wonder who decided to put this little easter egg into the map, and who they were trying to guilt trip. It’s quite subtle, and I wonder if it was effective.
