Query OK, 308 records deleted (0.08 seconds)

A few hundred logic bomb deletions later, and our li’l friend lilo is history! Who now, bitches? 🙂

Oh, and the server has been upgraded to PHP 4.0.9. I’d make the leap to 5.0.2, but apparently WordPress doesn’t play nice with PHP5, and right now the WP and PHP camps are busy pointing fingers at each other instead of fixing it. Ugh.

lilo@suddenenlightenment.us needs to DIE

Unfortunately, scaredpoet.com has apparently reached a strata of popularity that it is now a target of comment spam. Oh, joy.

So far, I’ve begun using comment moderation to try to stifle any future attacks (which folks, is why your comments aren’t showing up immediately after you post them… I’m working on that), and slowly but surely I’m in the process of weeding out spam comments from older posts. However there’s one stupid li’l spammer that I can’t seem to get of. And this spammer hails from lilo@suddenenlightenment.us.

I don’t know what ungodly method s/he/it uses, but this one manages to get past my moderation efforts every time, and it seems to be happening as I’m posting the message, which gives me great concern that there may be a worm or bot of some sort involved that I haven’t been able to track down quite yet. And it appears I’m not the only one with this little problem.

If anyone knows what the hell is going on and how to stop it, please let me know. It’s really starting to piss me off.

Powell and the unlikely interviewer. Hoohoohoo!

It’s risky business for FCC chairman Michael Powell to go on the air and talk about what he does, especially when callers can quiz him, and one of those callers happen to be sworm enemy, Howard Stern.

Now, I’m no fan of Stern. Fact is, I hate his guts. He’s a lowlife paranoid hypocrite who hasn’t come up with any new material to keep his listeners, and I got bored with him back in ’96. Late last year, Stern derided satellite radio as being the place “where all the washed up DJs go,” but then began whoring himself to Sirius when his job was on the line, conveniently forgetting his earlier wash-up comments in favor of his “I’m going to revolutionize satellite radio” comments.

While he does bring up good points in his his verbal spar with Powell, I can only assume it’s a publicity stunt orchestrated by Stern to keep his name and face fresh. He has a a long time in which to keep this act up though, as his Sirius contract doesn’t take effect for another 19 months. And besides, more-successful-rival XM Radio has their wittier, fresher shock jocks on today.
